Highview parkng fine!! Help

Hoping someone might know something on this and kindly give me some advise please. . .
Just received a fine from "highview parkng" for staying in a car park over time paid for by 42 mins. £2 was paid for 1 hour. The thing is it stated on the board next to machime that additional payments could be made if you over stay as long as it was made before you left the car park which was done I think an additional 50 pence was made which would have made cost of total time parked for £2.50 which was the price for 2 hours on the board? But letter states they do not have evidence that sufficient payment was made? How can I prove this? where do I stand? They want to charge £85 but will reduce fine to £50 if paid within 14 days!!

It is not a fine, it is a speculative invoice.

Please read the Sticky thread for NEWBIES at the top of the page where you started this thread, then send the BPA appeal in blue you will find there.

Copy and paste, and send. If there was a windscreen ticket, don't appeal too early as advised in the NEWBIES.
If this was a letter through the post, send the appeal once you have read and understood the 2 stage appeal process.

Do not pay, do not ignore, do not reveal who was driving, do not miss the appeal deadline.

Yes, we can and we know all about this and how to appeal and win. This is why the 'NEWBIES PLEASE READ THIS THREAD FIRST' is in capitals at the top of the forum.

You posted this almost as if you'd read no other threads on the forum nor searched 'Highview' as a keyword, not read anything at all and as if your case is unusual in some way. This is what this forum covers every day. We will help, but please help yourself by stopping and reading what's here.

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • First thing to do is to carefully scrutinise the Highview PCN, as the one I got from them recently is very much not compliant with the POFA 2012 requirements.

Secondly, go back to the car park and check the signage Highview have up. Again, compare this with the requirements for notification about the use of CCTV imagery in POFA and the BPA COP. If they're using the same signs there as in the car park they tried to clobber me in, then they simply do not comply.

(The above assuming you've had a postal NtK, and not a windscreen ticket.)

Thirdly, if such a sign did exist, then when you whack in the additional money, presumably it should issue an extra ticket of some kind? If so, photocopy it and post it off to them with the appeal. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES send the original documentation off, as they can simply "lose" it, claim it never arrived, then you're stuffed in that regard.
