Hi,
I don't shop at Tesco as a rule cos it's along way from me but I' ve been hearing more and more about people getting hols on their clubcard points, I spend an average of £100 a week in Morrisons shopping so I imagine if I spent that at Tesco I could earn a good few points?
Is it as it seems? Any experiences would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Paula

I don't earn most of my points from shopping personally at the local Tesco. I get around £60-£70 a quarter in points. Roughly £20 of points comes from using a Tesco credit card to pay for nearly all of our daily expenses, roughly £10 of points comes from shopping at Tesco and another £40 of points comes from the extra coupon points attached to the online shopping - for example, this week I split our shopping into 2 online orders totalling around £200 and collected £3 in points accumulated for the groceries and another £20 in additional points (codes found on hotukdeals).
So really we collect the bigggest percentage of points through using online shopping. If you like wine, there are even more additional points available in the Tesco Wine shop.0 -
We spend about 100 a week too and buy our petrol at Tesco too. Sometimes we get extra points using the online shopping codes in the discounts and codes forum - you can usually get at least the cost of delivery covered by using these codes.
We end up with about 30 - 40 pounds worth of points every quarter.
Just used 55 pounds' worth of points to book two nights at the Marriott hotel in York in December for an anniversary weekend with dh. :j Full cost would have been 220 pounds.
We've got 54 pounds worth of points left and we're looking at two return Eurostar tickets to Paris, worth 200 pounds.
You can also buy whole package holidays but you need a lot more points and we don't really like those kinds of holidays anyway. Some people really go to town getting the points, always using codes that have points and buying things because they get points with them. The reason being that the points are worth four times the money value of shopping with them, if you use them for deals.
Hope this gives you some idea.0 -
Hi!
I saved £196 worth of tesco vouchers and this summer they paid our £780 holiday at a Haven site.

I use my Tesco credit card for many day to day purchases and do most of my food shopping at Tesco. I do use the extra points vouchers they send if I remember but am not fanatical about the extra points. We generally get about £40 in tokens per quarter. In the past we have had an Easter break to Cornwall with Haven, and this year the tokens covered about 75% of the cost of a 2 week holiday in August in the South of France with Camping Life. New bedroom furniture from MFI and a few magazine subscriptions are also courtesy of Tesco. If you don't mind contributing to Tesco taking over the world, they're great!0
