I got a barrage of letters from Parking Eye over the weekend saying that all the tickets I had had previously had been canceled after the Estates Department told them to cancel them all and update their system.

Turns out though that Parking Eye didn't listen to the second part and I got another one in the post.

Do you think I should send a cease and desist letter to Parking Eye now as they have been told multiple times to update their system and they have had two months to do it. The latest one was send after the ones I got on Saturday that the previous tickets had been canceled.

Yes I would do that and address it to Rosanna Breaks, Solicitor, Enforcement Team - you could email her and mark it for her personal attention):

    enforcement@parkingeye.co.uk

Also appeal it on their appeals page too, so as not to be accused of 'not appealing'.

HTH - I don't think she's left...far too much money sloshing around in that firm...
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:

  • I have had another PCN from Parking Eye so I have sent them by recorded delivery an letter asking them to cease and desist sending my PCNs for the location within 5 days of receiving the letter or I will take the matter further.

If I get any more I will warn them that they have ignored the cease and desist and then start charging the rate that they specify which is £70 reduced to £35 if paid within 14 days per letter they send me.

The car park in question has a bad reputation for poor management so unfortunately I don't think this is the end of it.

They may refuse to sign for the letter and thus have proof that they never received it. You should send it again from a Post Office, first class, and obtain a free proof of posting. By law this will assume to be delivered within two working days.

You should also complain to the BPA and DVLA about this, along with your MP and Mrs May. Look for the thread beginning "This demands a new thread --- Theresa May..." with links to a template letter and the BMPA campaign about this disgraceful unregulated industry.

Quite clearly PE are ignoring the Data Protection Act. Information is required to be accurate & up to date.

You can now claim compensation just for distress under the Act (Vidal - Hall vs Google) Google withdrew their appeal to the Supreme Court

If they carry on say you will be seeking compo fro distress under the Act .

To add of course, its pick a number. I did a company a few years , under the Act for £500 as they messed up my wife's credit rating

That should get their attention. I would give them just one warning
Private Parking Tickets - Make sure you put your Subject Access Request in after 25th May 2018 - It's free & ask for everything, don't forget the DVLA :D

the letter would be returned to you , if it had a return address

    the correct way:

you send a letter by 1st class post with free proof of delivery from a PO counter , with this it is (in law) deemed to have been delivered within 2 WORKING days
