Dog mess on my lawn

I hav a lawn at the front of my house....a particular dog keeps messing on it. I Popped home for lunch in a hurry today and walked in the mess (It wasnt there this morning when I left for work)....so had to disinfect all my floors.
I know which house the dog belongs to....went up there and the woman had a go at ME and said I was talking to her on the wrong day.....god knows what she meant by that but she stared screeaming at me to get lost... This was in front of her 2 teenager kids.
I dont know what to do now. If the dog messes again I feel like picking it up (I uually have to dispose of it even though I dont have any pets of my own!) and dumping it on her (perfect) lawn. She just lets the dog wander around on itts own and there is no fence around ther garden.
Ha anyone been in a similar situation and is there anythig legally I can do? Shes obviously not a reasonable person as I didnt get any apologgy just a gobful of abuse.....would it be illegal to dump it on her lawn??? (if I dared)

Talk to your local dog warden - this is an offence; you have tried speaking to the owner and this has had no effect so, let the full force of the law come into account.
But don't take the law into your own hands - she could be fined up to £1,000!0 -
Watch the film "Me, Myself and Irene". You'll be fine if you do what happens there!Pants0

I would deliver each and every turd back to her doorstep.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0

I'd be dumping it back on her lawn pretty damn quick!0

Write a polite letter, pick up dog poo with letter, post through her letter box.,Fully paid up member of the ignore button club.If it walks like a Duck, quacks like a Duck, it's a Duck.0

The dog mess is on your lawn so I don't think she can be fined if its on your property rather than on council property, but you might be able to report her to the authorities for not keeping her dog under control. Yes you could return the dog mess to her but alternatively you could send her a letter threatening to take her to court for nuisance and trespass unless she starts controlling her dog.0

You can report the dog being allowed to wander on its own to the dog warden or animal welfare officer. Your local council website should have details of who that is and how to contact them.0

Doesn't matter that she has allowed her dog to defacate on your property - she hasn't picked it up and disposed of it ...THAT is the offence. Report to your local dog warden.0 -
I was fed up of a certain dog pooing on my front garden so I picked it up on a spade and took it back to where it lived. Dropped it in the porch then knocked the door to let the owner know. Never had a problem again. (Picked the poo up, not the dog......)0
