PPI claim from On:Line Finance

Hi, I bought a used Fiat Punto in 2001 through CarCraft in Chertsey. I had a loan through On:Line Finance which I fully paid off a year later, however I am about 95% convinced it had PPI. On:Line Finance are no longer around, so where would I go to put in a claim for the PPI?
I've been doing a bit of digging on the web and see that On:Line became part of GMAC, but I'm not sure when or even if GMAC are still about.
Would be grateful for some pointers please!

You put the complaint into the seller of the loan. Not the loan provider.
if the seller no longer exists and you bought before Jan 2005, then its game over. If the seller no longer exists and you bought after Jan 2005, then you complain to the FSCS.
If you settled the loan early and had PPI, the a part refund would have formed part of your settlement agreement.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
