HSBC Ignoring Final Decision

Hi
I have finalised a few claims but submitted one to HSBC over 2 years ago.. finally went to Ombudsman and they ruled in my favour which is binding on both parties.
They had 4 weeks to respond and when this was up with no contact, they have said they are 'still working out the payment' and it may still take 3-4 weeks.
I am disgusted by this as they are a top financial institution and I can do the sum in 30 seconds using a spreadsheet.
They are being completely unreasonable and ignoring the decision for as long as they can..
Anyone else had similar with them or anyone?

But that is the only thing you need to do.
They have hundreds of thousands of them to do and they have to make additional checks that you do not. e..g
1 - check to see if you settled early and a rebate was paid
2 - check with the insurer to see if a claim was made on the policy
3 - check to see if you have been made bankrupt.
4 - double checking by second personThey are being completely unreasonable and ignoring the decision for as long as they can..
From what you have said, they do not appear to be ignoring it. Just not doing it as fast as you would like them to. Be patient. It will come and you interest is being added daily at a rate you cant get in a savings account.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Yes I know you are right (grudgingly) but having been an admin manager myself, once that 4 weeks from decision started, that is the time to prioritise or is that just my ordered brain? And in originally turning me down, they would have looked at a lot of this already?
Had this on the go for 3 years when it gets sorted.. guess I just want it out of the way but like you say, the interest will continue to accumulate and they know this.
Thanks for the voice of sanity :0)0 -
I was told it will take 8 weeks for the bank (not HSBC) to make an offer as it is a difficult process to calculate.
Just be patient!0
