APCOA parking charge, but.... I paid and displayed

Hi, this is my first post and I need advice re a parking ticket. I parked at the Travellodge car park in Newcastle on the 20th of August, the ticket machine asks you to input yor Reg, after some initial issues, I paid for 3 hours and displayed the ticket in the car. I recently received a " Parking Charge Notice" from APCOA . As I had to insert Reg number in machine, and also displayed the ticket, I assume either their computer that checks Reg against their records was either not working.
My question is how do I now appeal this charge, I'm NOT going to pay as I've already paid for parking, albeit I didn't keep receipt, but who does. Any advice would be much appreciated

Thanks

What date was on the NTK, (AKA parking charge notice), which you recently received?

Please read the Sticky thread for NEWBIES then appeal using the BPA template in blue you will find there. Do not edit, do not pay, do not ignore, do not reveal who was driving, do not miss the appeal deadline.

Thanks; so this means that they cannot transfer liability from the driver to the RK and they will have to prove who the driver was.

Just do the above around day 26 (as per the NEWBIES thread) and you can add a line about the P&D ticket being purchased by 'the driver' - NOT YOU! Do not say who was driving!

When you get a rejection letter, search the forum for 'pay & display POPLA' to find recent ones to copy from and also read the POPLA Decisions thread for some standard appeal templates. Show us at that point, your draft POPLA appeal you will be able to plagiarise from all the other most recent ones you see.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
