Demand for payment of unpaid parking charge

I would be really grateful for any advice on my daughter's unpaid parking charge.
My daughter lives away from home in student accomodation for most of the year and received a parking notice on 19/5/16 for parking in her university without a parking ticket. It seems it was issued by First parking Ltd and sent to her home address (our address) and was ignored by her when she came home. She has now been sent a letter by DRP (Deb Recovery Plus Ltd) for £160 by 16/9 or they will "recommend to the creditor that court action should be taken". She does not seem concerned and claims she has been told by others in her university just to ignore it, but reading other posts this does not seem the correct advice in recent years.

the correct advice is
do not IGNORE A PARKING CHARGE
IGNORE the debt collectors
she has incorrectly done the first, so should now do the second
ie:- IGNORE drp
read this for why

It would have been right to appeal (see the NEWBIES FAQs thread for next time) but she's missed that opportunity.
So ignore is correct, for the DRPlus and Zenith daft letter chain. Have fun collecting it, I did. No-one is concerned except you...PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thank you so much for your advice, will ask her to follow it.0
