  • One of my highlights was the Christmas that my son had asked for a 3DS and I couldn't afford one. A WEEK before Christmas a courier knocked and delivered a surprise 3DS! I basically floated through the next week :D

I've had four wins so far this month: three of them turned up unannounced and the fourth I received an email.

I thought I had a surprise win today - a courier delivered a huge box, was really excited, it was big enough to contain a decent size hamper, but alas it contained two ramekins and a load of packing stuff! I had a 'sorry you didn't win but reply to this email for a runner up prize' email about six weeks ago, had forgotten about it.

  • I enter...a lot of competitions... I'm starting to wonder if I may have had unannounced wins turn up but never received them. Are these wins usually recorded delivery or anything? I know we usually have packages left outside our doors (in a block of flats you see) but I'm not sure how trustworthy some of the people are in my block (dodgy area) and have sometimes not got orders so started having them delivered to work to be on the safe side. Obviously not sure how to get around this.

Could you enter your work address instead of home?
  • ...or your name and a family member's address ?
  • Most of my prizes turn up out of the blue. I always put my address in whether email comp or form. Might be because of that. Much more fun to have it just turn up :)

I would but I don't want spam post to get delivered to work. Parents address might work though. I'm sure I'm just paranoid ;)
  • I'd say a quarter of my wins have just turned up. One of them was a ukulele... I was stunned!
  • I had an unexpected Yodel package turn up a couple of days ago - I got really excited but when I opened it It was Comfort Fabric Conditioner and I wasn't sure if it was a prize or a free sample i had applied for! I was happy to have it but wasn't sure if I could add it to my 'win' list. I have had a very dry spell recently so it was still good to get something either way.
