... are people always notified in advance if they've won a comp, or can prizes just turn up? It would be pretty amazing to have a knock on the door from the postie with a lovely unexpected gift!

Most of the time you will get an email saying you have won, occasionally it can be a phone call but I have only ever had two or three of those over the years. I have had stuff just turn up unannounced, most recently, last month a cheque for £200. In the past I have also had courier deliveries turn up out of the blue, sometimes with some quite large mystery parcels.0

Twitter I receive a DM and tag usually.
Facebook is usually a PM and/or tag too.
Anything else I usually receive an email.
I've had the odd random item turn up in the post though, which is always a lovely surprise.Thank you to everyone who posts competitions and good luck to everyone who enters.0 -

The highlight of my comping life was the day a courier turned up, handed me a box with a youview box in it and said "I'll just get your TV from the van"....he came back with a HUGE box containing a 3D TV! It was amazing, I still feel quite emotional thinking about it now and that was a couple of years ago! Many thanks to everyone who posts competitions and works so hard to provide all the answers!
Best wins this year so far: £100 Hobbycraft Voucher, £50 cash, GoPro Camera0
