Best way to invest £120k
Comments
-
Hi,
My dad is due to retire in November and can take part of his pension as a lump sum. The maximum he can take is approx £120k. Looking for some suggestions on the best way to invest this. He's thought about buying property and reselling to make a profit, but just wondering if there are any other good ways to invest, with interest rates on savings being so low.
Thanks
That doesn't mean he should. Since it appears to be burning a hole in his pocket, and he doesn't have any immediate identified need for it, why exactly is he looking at taking it?0 -
Index linked or not index linked?
If he will live to 90, leaving the lump sum in there for an index linked annuity is probably what he should do. If he will hop it by 70, grab the lump sum, and blow it on fast cars and loose women before he can't enjoy it any more.0
