  • Morning All

I very rarely post but I read every day on the train to and from work
Sorry to hear about all those who are ill or have poorly family and friends
    ((((((Hugs)))))) to you all.

Up late this morning DH was on nights and I never settle well but once he is in just after 6 I settled better. I never have a problem on work days as I have normally left for the station before he gets in.

Went food shopping yesterday didn't need too much as going to see DD after work on Wednesday as DGD is 3 so having little get together. DH is going to pick me up after nights on Thursday morning and will sleep when we get home Off to see my dad and his wife on Friday staying over till Saturday so have only had to meal plan Monday,Tuesday and Thursday so actually organised for a change.

Inspired by some of you (HH I don't know where you get your stamina please may I have some) I had a massive sort out of old bills and statements yesterday. Two black sacks later felt very cathartic. I really don't know how we mange to collect so much stuff!!

DH just woken up so going to have a light breakfast and then go for a walk around a local park.

Wishing everyone a good Sunday and happy week will be lovely if the sun keeps shining

    Afternoon!
Just popping in quickly whilst I stop and enjoy a cuppa!
Had a nice lie in today and we all got up at 9.30......heaven!! Especially as I usually work all day Sundays so a rare treat to be home and get a lie in too!
A lovely day here and got my washing done and dried on the line.
My daughters, with a bit of help from me,made a lovely lemon cake this morning,it's to go after our roast tonight as I have one of my friends coming round to eat with us and to have a catch up with me after!
Girls schoolbags are all sorted and ready for tomorrow, books covered with plastic covering, and homework all done!
I've also vacuumed, dusted and done a bit of general tidying.

Coxy - redruby's suggestion of checking out entitledto is a fab one,I found it a godsend last year after my husband left and I was wondering what the hell I'd do and how everything would work out! Left me more reassured after I'd been on there.

Posi-vibes for all who need them today; and GWS wishes for Mr snoozer - what rotten timing!

I didn't get onto MSE yesterday as we were decluttering one small, very hairy JR back to his owners. :( He seems to have thoroughly enjoyed his holiday though; and I am under strict instruction to let his owners know if I am successful in signing up with another pet-minding company.

I can't actually do anything about that for another couple of months, because I still have bookings that were made before we knew the franchise was closing, and I can't let those dogs down.

We're off to Yorkshire for an overnight stay next week - Mr LW was given a Red Letter experience as part of his retirement present from work - a brewery tour and beer tasting, including a night's stay, at Cropton Brewery, so we booked it to coincide with our wedding anniversary. :o

Anyways, I have a ton of tasks to do, including a packing list - I like to be organised so that we don't forget something vital like our meds - so I'd better go and get on. ;)
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
  • Hi Guys,
Feeling good today. Healing going well. The vac pac is doing it's job. Had a letter to see a plastic surgeon in October at East Grinstead hospital. Don't know what they want to do if anything. Got nearly a months healing to go yet.
Friend due round at four. Going for fish and chips today.
Printed off my Christmas list. Got some already. Decided to give two couples a trip round our local vineyard and lunch. Easy pressie that.
Not sure what DD and husband need though. :rotfl:
DS is coming down from Cumbria on 25th. It's his birthday on 9th and he wants so spend it with me.
Hospice have said cancer is accelerating and I haven't got that long, all they can do is make me comfortable and not in pain. so family are spending as much time as possible with me.
I am not worried, it's everyone else who can't accept it.
    Anyway have a. Good day.

  • Hi all
    Hilstep I'm in awe.
Hugs to those in need, positive vibes for those looking for work, my L&M doesn't even get an acknowledgment when he applies for a job, probably because he's 61.
Yesterday's viewings were interesting we now have a better idea of what we don't want.
    Hugs Hester
    Chin up, Titus out.
  • Hilstep you are an amazing person and I applaud your equanimity and calmness, God bless you honey, I wish you well

    Afternoon everyone.

    Welcome to newroadahead.

Hilstep - you're showing great strength of character and personality. Acceptance is so gracious and will certainly sustain your spirit.

My day has been lovely, an early morning drive down in a glorious sunrise with flat glass-like water and the landscape in its 'start of Autumn' colours. The piece of work in Stirling was interesting, outside in grass past my ankles, soggy feet and a fantastic view of the banqueting hall of Stirling Castle in the background. It's painted a shade of yellowy- gold and so is highly visible. Apparently it's the original colour shoeing off the wealth of Scottish Kings.

Anyway, am now at Mum's place overnight and resting well.

    Enjoy your evening.
