* Barclaycard maximum amount you can pay by debit card?*

Hi all, I've had a Barclaycard for over a year now (6.9% one) and never used it, however, they wrote offering me 0% till January 2008 so I began using it.

Now I tried to pay some money online and it states you can only pay a maximum of £100 via debit card and you cannot make any further payments to the account once the debit card payment has cleared!? This restrictions lasts for 90 days after the payment has cleared.

What on earth is this all about? It's suppose to be a security measure, but i'm a bit suspicious.

didnt know about that limit

anyway i had my barclaycard acoutn sent up through my online banking and could pay them what i needed to, the last payment (final payment) was for nearly 700 quid so no restrictions there

The 90 day restriction refers to the length of time from when you first used the debit card to pay your barclaycard online. After 90 days you can use it as often as you want to pay as much as you want. I clear my balance every month this way.

presume it is a security measure to reduce use of stolen debit cards.
