    What is it for?
Stopped smoking 27/12/2007, but could start again at any time

  • Thanks OP. Anyone considering buying might want to look at the reviews - there seems to be a recurrent theme of the strap breaking.
  • They're half price for a reason! It's like the Fitbit, the straps fall apart.

ordered one but then saw this.^

And cannot see a way to contact the company to request a free clip ( as mentioned in the reviews)

If the company did cease and the product developed a fault within a year could we go back to currys or would they simply say unlucky?

I paid with credit card but its under £100 so ?

    Thanks

I had an UP3 - one day it just "disappeared" - I can only assume the strap failed and it fell off (even with the extra clip) as I walked home as the app had counted my steps to part way through my walk. I found the app hammered my Nexus 5X battery. With the app my phone would manage half a day - with it uninstalled I can get through a full day without a recharge.

I didn't find the app made me do anything different.
  • picked mine up yesterday and already I really like it. I already use apps to monitor sleep ( which the new IOS 10 now includes lol) and think I will benefit from the bracelet as it will make me move a bit more on my non active days.
Re the app it will use more data if your Bluetooth is constantly 'on' I think so I will just sync at the end of the day
    :)

  • The article above was written in may... If they go out of business so what thats what a recipt is for Curry's will replace the band its has a guarantee for a year.. The straps on all the fitness bands are known to corode yes so keep an eye on them.. Jawbone customer service is excellent that I can testify to..

This is less than half price of Argos and other retailer's no one is forcing anyone to buy one take a chill pill. Its a great gadget helped me lose over a stone in weight.

  • A ward of warning - they are going cheap for a reason!

I have had two jawbone trackers - the first one lasted about 6 months and the wrist strap plastic went baggy and I couldn't charge it up anymore as I couldn't attach the charger.

I then had an UP2 which 6 months later had a problem with a split band in two places. I would avoid and go for another brand with replaceable bands as its a shame that the cheap bands on these mean that the actual tracking element is now unusable.
  • I've had an up24 for over a year now, no problem with it at all. Highly recommend them
