Offer on house accepted, but have I offered too much...

If you like what you are buying why keep looking at other houses? You know house prices tend to rise anyway, you are unlikely to lose on it. It sounds really nice too, I've never heard of a 2 bed detached but I like the idea of it and I bet you could extend too.0

Unless you are thinking of resale and believe a two bed detached will be less popular than a three bed in a worse location, I'd stick with what you're buying.
Fwiw, in the area we used to live (rural Wiltshire) there are quite a few two bed detached houses/cottages so I'm quite used to the idea. Sounds perfect for empty nesters such as me and DH <she says, rattling round in her four bed detached, lol!>Mortgage-free for fourteen years!

Thank you all for the replies.
2 beds seem to be as popular as 3 beds round here, and the asking price is the same as for other 2 beds in the area. In fact there are 2 bed semis where the asking price is higher.
No, I'm probably not going to get another house which ticks all the boxes the way this one does, for the foreseeable future, and would be most probably saving more money to buy now rather than later. If the worst comes to the worst I'd be happy to sell at leisure in a few years.
I've emailed the agent that my offer still stands, but I have a few questions I've put forward, and of course its all subject to a positive survey.0 -

Don't take this the wrong way but you seem to be acting in way that may put your buyers on edge. They may consider you are looking at starting to find reasons to drop your offer and aren't committed to the deal or the agreed price.
Isn't the time to ask follow up questions before you make an offer, not after ? Or at the exchange of contract stage where you send a written list of questions ? If I was the seller I'd be thinking "maybe my buyer is having second thoughts" and I would possibly be open to entertaining other offers.0
