Sky scam!

WARNING!!! Just got a letter from Sky informing me that I am in credit and could I ring a number to confirm details so they can process the refund. It has my account no, name and address and looks genuine, even in a Sky envelope. I was suspicious as to why I would be in credit and why they needed me to contact them to refund me when they take money ( too much ) from my account every month. I contacted Sky independently and they confirmed they had no record of the letter and the number given did not seem like a sky number. I have to forward the letter to them for investigation. Anyone who has responded to one of these letters, then I suggest you check your bank balance asap and contact Sky. Please share and spread the word.

A Sky have denied any connection, I would also give a copy of the letter to the police.
Details of your finances with Sky would be on your My Sky page, anyway.0 -

If you have had Sky previously (possibly at another address) then it might not be a scam. Sky have £million's in other peoples money in their bank accounts which they cannot return because people have (stupidly) cancelled their direct debits. Anyone who has had Sky in the last 7 years could be in this situation.0
