How can I prove I wasn't there!

I have today received two parking tickets for £85 each for a car registered in my name (which has now been transferred to my teenage son), for my son overstaying in our local Morrisons. He has a part time job and nips in to Morrisons on the way to work to buy a sandwich, then drives to work and parks in his employer's private parking area. On the day in question, he was in and out of Morrisons and arrived at work within 8 minutes. He did return to Morrisons after work, so I presume the camera has recorded the arrival on the first visit and the leaving time of the second. The times coincide with his working hours for that day (he does various length shifts in a bar). His working hours for the day can be verified on an online rota, which I could print off.
The second one is trickier. It was on A level results day, which is why we can recall the day's events easily! My son got his results from school, went in to Morrisons with his mates and they had breakfast. He returned home just over two hours later (Morrisons gives 3 hours free parking), picked up my other son and they went to my elderly mother's to do some diy for her, and he then got his hair cut! It was the day before VFestival, so that evening he went to Morrisons to buy some odds and ends that he would be taking with him to VFestival. So, again he had been to Morrisons more than once in a day. But how can we prove this?
He goes into Morrisons frequently and usually uses his bank card, so that could be traceable on his bank account, but I don't think it will show the times of transactions.
It is really worrying and very frustrating to have to defend yourself against an offence you have not committed.

This is why Morrisons supermarkets WILL GO BUST.
They simply DO NOT GET IT !
That this parking firm they are loved up with are fraudulently scamming their customers out of the money they need to spend in store on shopping.
THE SOONER THE BETTER !
As above back to the store and refuse to be fobbed off.I do Contracts, all day every day.0 -
Who has issued the fine? A lot of times these days the car park is run by a private firm, I'd be surprised if Morrison's themselves were sending out fines.0

Was it Parking Eye ?
You have been caught in the "double dipping" scam by ANPR cameras.
You are right in your assumption how this happens.
As said above kick up merry hell with Morrisons. Does not matter if receipts do not show times ...... you and your family are customers of Morrisons and to remain so you need them to cancel the tickets, don't take no for an answer as they cancel for plenty of people.
Best go to their HO as the store managers have little power0 -
its an INVOICE , not a "fine" , in this case multiples of, so INVOICES
and no "offences" have been committed , just perceived rule breaking
the issue at hand here is called "double dipping" and is a typical anpr fault and blogged about repeatedly
same advice as in this double dip thread

and this one too (its a regular topic on here and on pepipoo forums)

the keeper appeals each one separately with the blue text appeal , adding a note that 2 short separate visists were made by the driver on the day in question
which then means , cancel , or popla code (never reveal who was driving)
then strong complaints are made asap to david.potts CEO at HQ , or to the store first, then to the CEO if the cancellations dont happen PDQ (the head office usually do when its clear that the complainant is a genuine patron , or the visits were showing patronage, plus if you have the MATCH & MORE store cards etc)0 -

correct , I cannot see morrisons listed at either the BPA or IPC
PS: it is not a "fine" its a speculative invoice , begging for moneySave a Rachael

Feeling very hard done by, and a bit stressed, I decided to tell Morrisons via their Facebook page that I didn't think this was the way to treat their loyal customers, and that I should not have to defend myself against something I hadn't done. Funnily enough, the power of social media, elicited a reasonably quick response from Morrisons asking for the parking charge numbers and saying they would see what they could do. I provided the information, and pointed out that our local newspaper ran an article two weeks ago saying the Parking Eye cameras in this Morrisons are illegal as planning permission was not applied for! How to win friends and influence people, eh? :rotfl:0

Morrisons will cancel - they always do, but you may have to email their CEO if the FB approach doesn't work.
This is the email to use:
donotreply@morrisonsplc.co.uk
Don't worry about the 'donotreply' part - it does work! Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Keep piling on the pressure, they will cancel
Do you have a link to that newspaper report.
