I dont have a credit agreement with them but can they enforce this?

Yes. Your debt can be transferred between banks the credit collection companies and it wont be statute barred as it was only a few years ago.
My credit report is now in red becoz of Asset Link Capital.

No. It is because you failed to pay your debts.
What can i do or can i stop this transfer.

Nothing. Its not present tense but past tense. It has happened. It is normal activity.

i have sent the ppi claim waiting for the response now. Thx guys for your help. I have just received a letter from barclaycard saying they have now closed the account and they have transferred the account to a company called Asset Link Capital. And i have just checked my credit file and the Asset Link Capital have added a default on my account with 2014 date. I dont have a credit agreement with them but can they enforce this? My credit report is now in red becoz of Asset Link Capital. What can i do or can i stop this transfer. Thx

If Barclays have sold the debt on then this other firm will collect the date. When did you default on your account? Is the default date incorrect? If Barclays sold the debt on then your debt is with this new company, all perfectly legitimate as the debt is current (not statute barred until 6 years from the default or when you last paid)

A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

i had an agreement to pay monthly with no interest since 2011 i have never missed a payment since. On my credit file with barclays it shows AP no default. Now there is a new agreement with Asset Link and it shows default 2014.

If it was sold prior to 2009, use single premium as a complaint reason.
On a credit card? I don't think so.

With this you need to complain to the company formally (in writing, get proof of posting from the PO for free) - the default must be the original date, they cannot change the default date to 2014 if you originally defaulted in 2011

Barclaycard offer credit card facilities not loans, of course.

Looks like the Op just snatched a complaint reason randomly without realising it didn't apply to him.

I've never heard of anyone being refused a credit card if they didn't take PPI.

Well, I should have read the original posts a bit more carefully, but there you go, who knew you needed PPI on loan for a credit card?

I'm having a mind boggle moment......
