Lots of people are aware of these sites but they're not going to do you any good as your flight is not covered by EU regulations! In short, you are not due any compensation beyond what the airline decides to give you as a goodwill gesture. Turbulence is hardly a fault of the airline anyway.0 -

None of it was really a display of 'delicate snowflakeness' as you put it.
But that is besides the point, all I am asking is if anyone is aware of third parties sites such as bottonline or flightdelays.
Thanks
Can happen on any airline though0 -

I'd be more worried about the smell of petrol coming from a aircraft that doesn't use petrol to run its engines!0 -

So if you had experienced this turbulence on your initial flight would you still be looking for compensation?
You could always look at taking out a civil suit against the stewardesses for slowing down your egress from the aircraftLive each day like its your last because one day you'll be right0 -
I bet that the airlines wish that they had advance knowledge of all severe turbulence in areas in which they fly but unfortunately they don't.
I wouldn't be at all surprised to find that the paramedics who came on board upon landing was because some of the cabin crew were injured because of the turbulence as they would still have had some tasks to do that involve them moving around the cabin once the turbulence had started.
If the aircrew had any advance knowledge of what was coming up, the cabin crew would have already be seated and secured beforehand rather than having to be told to take their seats when the bouncing started.
Technical problems and severe turbulence are not too common but they do occur and they can occur with any airline that flies.0 -
Hi again,
And thank you for everyones input and replies.
I think what seems to have got lost in the thread though, is I was seaking compensation for the 12 hour delayed flight, nit the emergency landing and turbulence.
But by the looks of things it seems we are not intitled to anything other than what the airline wish to give .
Thank you all0
