HP Instant Ink

Hi, just bought a HP printer and it came with 2 months free trial of hp instant ink.
I can choose the level of use from 1.99 for 50 prints through to 7.49 for 300 prints, so I'm thinking go with the 300 prints, print like mad and then downgrade to the 1.99 plan before the end of the trial and I get charged.
Have I missed something? Has anyone done this?

I have Instant Ink £1.99 plan, free trial just ended. Nothing to stop you downgrading/upgrading anytime as far as I know, but my usage was unlimited during the trial, so didn't matter which plan I picked initially - has this changed?
I got emails to say I'd gone over, but wasn't charged extra during the trial. This was when my SD was doing her A levels but been under my limit since0 -
