Thank you both for the advice and reassurance. I really do want to be able to breastfeed, all you hear about is how great it is for the baby, and that midwives really push for you to do it nowadays! But I am worried, it sounds like a tricky thing to get right, and nobody around me breasfed so I have no-one to ask for advice. Kitten, I'll take all the advice offered, you aren't teaching me to suck eggs!!

I'm soooooooooo glad it's Friday. I'm officially exhausted now. This week has been tough. I don't know if it's because it's been so hot, because I haven't slept well, because I've been busy at work and worrying about money or a combo of all of the above! It was a real struggle to get out of bed this morning, and normally I'm a morning person who beats the alarm.

Taking lunch to work today again and have made a packed lunch for OH too, so he doesn't have to buy it either.

This weekend I think I will start a Christmas notepad. Figure out who I need to buy for, set a budget for them, write down any ideas I can think of, and start looking for some bargains. I'd like to start getting organised, because realistically I'm not going to want to do much of it once little miss comes along!!!

Have a lovely Friday everyone. Roll on 5pm....;)

Yesterday evening I did !!!!!! all. And we were naughty and spent £16 having a take away delivered :o I didn't even enjoy it that much...

I didn't turn my laptop on at all. I was just so tired, but I officially cannot get comfy anymore lying down, so I've had a terrible nights sleep. I feel like that's all I've said all this week, I need to change my tune... :o:o:o

Feel like my I need a plan for the weekend, but nothing too big or fancy. Some small and manageable bits and bobs.

    Weekend To-Do List
    • Buy birthday cards for niece and SIL
    • Buy gift voucher for SIL
    • Buy present for niece's birthday
    • Start my Christmas notepad
    • Do some washing- done, but need to do another wash really!
    • Do some ironing
    • Check OnePoll/ Valued Opinions for surveys- Done, but will check again later/tomorrow too
    • Sort a meal plan and write a shopping list for next week

2 more working days left, then hopefully I will be able to relax more, do my de-cluttering, selling on e-bay, prep some freezer dump bags and get on top of things at home. Oh and pack hospital bag, buy the outstanding bits on my list, do my Christmas shopping and sort out the nursery ready for Little Miss' arrival.

With plenty of naps in between I should add! :rotfl:
  • I sympathise with the sleep, when I was pregnant with DD I couldn't sleep and was up all night sat on the loo.

Don't feel too bad about doing nothing, you need to rest while you can.

Two days left whoop! Bet you can't wait :)

I am another big breast feeding fan. It's just been natural with both of mine. I fed DS for 13 months although I went back to work when he was 8 months. I loved doing the night feeds as at 3am it was just him and me. Got flu when he was 13 months and the meds they gave me were not bf friendly but I was too ill to care. So we stopped cold turkey. He seemed fine with it.

With DD again no trouble. At 4 months old I had to have an emergency appendectomy and was apart from her a week very ill on morphine so had to stop cold. She had to learn to take formula from DH and MIL. In hospital they were useless and I had to beg for a breast pump as I was so uncomfortable and engorged. By the time I came out my supply had fallen off a cliff and I'd lost so much weight it wasn't good. I used to put her to me two or three times and hour for the first few days after I came home and eventually my supply returned. So here we are at 11 months still merrily going.

It's not for everyone but if it feels right for you then it's such a gift.

    Thanks for stopping by everyone!

Thanks also, for the encouragement and sharing your experiences with BF Bob. I really hope it works out for me, and fingers crossed it will.

I've really not achieved a lot today, which I feel bad about, but OH keeps telling me I need to relax more. I feel really weepy and down today. probably because I'm tired. I had a 90 minute nap on the sofa which helped a bit. Only managed to do some washing and check survey sites. Really need to tackle some ironing and look for a present for my niece/order gift voucher at the very least tonight...

Popped out with SIL this afternoon as her WM has broken and she wanted to order a new one from Currys. Let her put a couple of loads in mine and she gave me £20 for it! I tried to refuse, but she wouldn't take it back. Will use it for something. Might pay £20 out of my back account, that will then clear the JA owing and if I need to buy anything I will use the £20 in my purse. Would be nice to clear one of the debts, even if it is the smallest. What does everyone else think? Should I try again to give it back? It does seem a lot for a bit of washing...:o

Spent £1.90 on bread and ham whilst out, so can't declare today a NSD. So I def should order gifts tonight so then I can try and keep tomorrow as a NSD instead.

OH is spontaneously going out tonight with an old friend. So I can have a quiet night at home, though my stupid hormones are making me feel upset that he is going out and I'll be on my own. Uggh, I'm a right old mess today! Going to go and have a cup of tea and try and sort my head out...

    Morning everyone,

I feel a bit more like myself this morning. Enjoying my first cuppa of the day! Sleep wasn't brilliant, but it was better. I just chilled last night, didn't do any tasks, and I think that's what I needed actually.

Today I will do the ironing, and a meal plan. And whatever else I feel like doing...and if that's nothing that's ok. I've got 2 days of work left and then I can start doing a bit more, as I can stop whenever I need to! ;)

I've decided to keep the money, and pay the outstanding £19.63 from my Bank Account to clear the JA. Yay! One debt done and a target met! 2 debts left...

Once I'm at home and start decluttering I hope eBay sales will really help me to smash the CC, at the very least before Christmas to make that target.

Right I'm off to check everyone's diary's now, see what I've missed xx
