I've found your new diary! You've got a good plan underway, and I'm sure you'll clear the ja by the end of the month. I've spent this morning crunching numbers just to make sure we can get through maternity without adding to our debt, and it looks doable. Just.

    I'm subscribing!

*waves to MrsSave* :hello: , welcome to my little corner of DFW diaries!

Just been helping OH paint some more of the exterior walls of the house...when I say help... I stood at the bottom of the ladder and was allowed to load the roller up with more paint. I'm not allowed to climb the ladders lol...:rotfl:

Great news that your figures add up and you won't be adding to your debts. As HR lost my paperwork I'm still waiting to hear what I'll be getting paid (I'm requesting equalised payments). I had to beg my midwife to re-do me a MATB1 form so I can resubmit my paperwork to HR :mad: can't collect it until Wed pm after work, so HR will be having it hand delivered by me on Thursday morning! But I am hopeful we will be alright as long as we cut back a bit and are careful.
  • Well hullo there,

I found you (trying not too sound like a crazy stalker & failing) :rotfl:

Jeez you have been a super busy bee, what a great job so far!

It's a nightmare that they haven't told you what you will be paid yet.

My BFF just had a baby & she still has no idea what she is going to be paid, don't know how on earth they expect people to be able to sort their bills etc out.

Hi Dolly and Bobarella, and morning to everyone else too!

Bit if a post and run this morning as I have work today and I'm running late!

We are low on food this morning :o but I'm determined not to buy lunch at work like I would usually end up doing, so I'm taking in the last tangerine and some grapes to snack on, a yoghurt that needs using up and a tin of baked beans! Random but will hopefully do the job :D:D

Will do an online shop tonight for delivery tomorrow and grab some bread on the way home tonight. I've got tinned tuna in, so can make tuna mayo up for sandwiches.

This is my last full week at work, yippee!!!!

  • Morning,

Like your thinking regarding the lunch, although I don't think the beans will go with the yogurt? Or is that a new pregnancy craving? Lol

Yay to your last week and keeping fingers crossed that HR get their act together and tell you what you will get.

    Have a great day x
  • Good Morning EB,

    Thanks all for dropping in!

Work was exhausting. I forgot I had mandatory training for 2 hours this morning... Basic life support and defibrillation update. CPR is knackering when you're pregnant, I nearly needed resus myself at one point! :rotfl: Luckily the trainer was sympathetic and let me have a sit down!
I was also the only person in our little team of 3 in today, so I had 2 hours less than usual to do the work of 3 people. Those sums = one tired me by 5pm! Roll on next Tuesday when I'm finally done :D:D

In better news HR found my paperwork at the end of last week. They just didn't bother to let me know, so when I rang again today to explain I'd begged the midwife for a new form, they told me my stuff has been processed and I should get a letter in the next couple of days...What a palava!!!!!

Have done my food shop, quite expensive this week as we needed lots of non-food stuff- about £60. Being delivered tomorrow, so will know the final amount when Tesco deliver it.

Only MSE thing I have done today is to remember I have a OnePoll survey account. I've done a few surveys after last logging on about a year ago, and I'm at £29.10. Can cash out if/when I get to £40. Be a miracle at the rate I'm going!!!!

Ooh I'm going to check my emails and see if there's anything from MSE about the Energy Club Big Switch. If I can get the DD for gas & electric reduced that would be fab. Currently £86 a month :eek:

Darn, it starts tomorrow, in 19 hours!

In other news I realised we were still paying £18.66 a month on an old insurance product for OH that is no longer needed :eek: really not sure how I dropped the ball on that one and let it carry on but I've just cancelled the DD for it. £18.66 a month now saved ;)
