Why would mortgage account be settled when I didnt pay it off?

Hi, I checked my credit report and Landmark (previously NRAM) have marked my mortgage account as settled. I no longer have a home mortgage account. (I haven't paid it off and I haven't any rich relatives who would do this for me.)
Why would they do this? Experian and Equifax both show account closed as at 31 July. I thought at first it might be the takeover/sale of Nram but there are no new account details.
The three buy to let mortgages are still showing the same as usual.
Call me confused

Hi Megandz,
It is difficult to say for certain but most likely the account/debt was sold onto a third party and they haven't updated your file yet.
You could check Call Credit (Noddle) but whether or not it appears on your file is only part of the issue. If the debt is not statute barred and hasn't been paid off then it will need to be dealt with. Perhaps you could post more details regarding the balance and when the property was sold etc.
