You need to contact the supplier.

I'm not sure how you could be in £500 credit? It sounds like you have not given an up to date meter reading, and if you have, that the supplier has not produced an up to date bill based on that meter reading.

Once you've done that, you need to see what the credit situation really is.

At this time of year, where a customer pays monthly by DD, suppliers usually expect you to have built up some credit as it balances out the higher consumption most of us incur in the winter period, but if you still have £200 credit left that should certainly be more than enough for most people.

This MSE article should help you further

I was, indeed, apparently nearly £500 in credit according to BG's website.

We have been in this house for roughly 8 months, when we moved in and set up the account BG suggested £X monthly DD and as we were unsure of the running costs for the house we agreed with the amount. Since we moved in we have submitted meter readings another two times (approx each quarter), the bill has been updated accordingly but monthly DD amount did not change. I had already noticed on the previous bill (couple of months ago) that we were building up a substantial credit balance but it was only now that, looking online, I decided (after looking at the "You're paying too much" and "Request a refund" graphics) do something about it. I wish I had just left well enough alone.

Anyway, I have now contacted BG by email to ask what is going on.

Incidentally, this is what my BG account looks like now that they have doubled my DD (I have chopped off the part of the window that shows my account credit balance and number):

Previously it was already showing "paying too much" but obviously not "Paying Too Much":D like it is now.

I've had a call from BG today regarding my complaint and they have apologised, apparently there was an error in their calculations resulting in the doubling of my DD amount. They confirm that I was indeed paying way too much and I do have a credit balance. My DD amount has been reset at a lower level than before, in keeping with actual usage :j

    Thanks for the encouragement !

So did you provide an up to date meter reading as I suggested, and as it asked you to do online, so that your account could be updated?

Or should we expect another thread complaining BG have sent you a bill for about £500 when that eventually happens?

Have a look at the image again and note the text on the bottom right: "Based on your gas meter reading given on 11 Sep 2016".

Given that the poster posted this image on 11/09/2016, I believe that the OP's readings are about as on track as you could expect them to be.

Considering you haven't even worked out who your supplier is and were looking for Siemens as a supplier due to the sticker on the meter, I don't think you're in any position to be so rude to the OP.( Unless of course you were joking but even so...)
Actually looking at some of your other posts you appear to specialise in sarcastic replies...people are all different you know-what seems obvious to some may not be obvious to another. It's not very nice to make fun of people as you did in a different thread, and there was no call for sarcasm here either....
