Look at other cars of the same year, mileage and condition that are advertised - some are well priced, others are priced high.

whatcar.com is usually pretty good. I've used it a few times for myself and either sold / purchased for around the exact same price.0

As an alternative, I also do an ebay advanced search for the vehicle I'm interested in and select sold prices.0

Parkers is a good place - gives you a trade and private sale rough guide. Free to use. (parkers.co.uk). We buy any car seems to be a good valuation if you double what they say.0
