DRP Help!

Please help!

I have been sent a letter from Debt Recovery Plus Ltd for not paying car parking tickets issued from the Northern General Hospital, Sheffield. They are demanding £120, however I have not paid any of the fines that were issued by the parking attendants as I read that they have no authority as it is private land. It says that if I do not pay by the 15/09/16 that they will recommend that the creditor that court action should be taken to recover what I owe. What do I do?

Thanks

If you had looked around this forum you would have known you should not ignore parking charges.

You are now at the debt recovery stage and should ignore DR+ as they are lying Muppets, the last thing they will do is recommend that anyone takes you to court as they will be out of the loop and get no rake off.

Pity you didn't come here first, you should read the newbies start here thread for more info.

But on no account contact DR+.

    DRP - IGNORE.

But ... if you are silly enough to converse with them, have a chuckle at this American guy handling a debt collector, it's not for a parking ticket but it can be adapted

The venue at which you parked was NGH, but surely a private parking company (PPC) was involved in issuing the tickets in the first place? Can you tell which one it is please?

While DRP has no standing to take you to court, the PPC might have, and might well do. If you provide us with the name of the PPC, we can give you a better idea as to how this might progress.

The PPC here was CPP back in 2013/14

It was car parking partnership who issued the original ticket. Thanks

Liberty Printers (AR &RF Reddin) Ltd T/A Liberty Services and The Car Parking Partnership - a BPA AOS operator.

Relatively small time operator and currently benign as far as court claims are concerned, although more PPCs are having a dabble at the County Court. They have 6 years from the time of the parking event to pursue to court, so impossible to predict that far ahead.

For the moment I wouldn't be worrying that this will end with a court claim. Carry on ignoring DRP, but don't ignore a LBA/LBCCC or real court papers - in the vanishingly unlikely event of either being issued.
