Looking at the 3 year income bond. 8% seems really good compared to what I'm getting in ISAs.

What are the drawbacks? Is there anything better?

Before you criticise someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.
That way, when you criticise them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

No change in answers from all the previous times this has been asked.

It is in no way comparable to a cash ISA. Unless you consider a Ferrari to be comparable transport to a bicycle.
Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.

Well, they are comparable as they can both get you to work, but usually only one of them will keep the rain off you, get you safely round a curve in the road or racetrack at very high speed and let you carry a passenger or two. But the one adorned with the cavallino rampante logo is not the cheap, quiet or environmentally friendly option.

I guess you could say, prancing horses for courses.
