If you have an at fault collision (run into the back of them) with an uninsured driver what will the insurers do? Will the uninsured driver be able to claim from your insurers. Will you lose your NCB?

Your insurance pays, you lose your no-claims.
They either contact your insurer directly, or get an ambulance chaser (more likely as they doubtless have whiplash injuries by now) to do it.I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....
(except air quality and Medical Science)

As you are insured your insurance would pay out and deduct from your NCB.
The uninsured driver may get prosecuted by the police if they warrant it a criminal matter0 -
If they make a claim it will be paid out.
The fact that they are insured doesn't stop them from claiming off your insurance.
However there is a possibility they will try to hush it up and not make a claim.
Are the police already aware of the uninsured driver?Changing the world, one sarcastic comment at a time.0 -

Of course it's a criminal matter.0 -
When an accident occurs it is the injured person that claims from the guilty person.
Whether either of them have insurance is a personal matter that makes things easier. Insurance pays so you don't have to. If you don't have insurance then it's all down to you.
So, if you hit an uninsured driver, he claims from you. You pay him - you are lucky enough to have insurance.
Whether he is then prosecuted for not having insurance is a separate matter for him/the police.0 -

Would an individual actually claim from an insurance company? If they are insured then the company does it, if not what proof do the company have that it actually happened? Unless you tell them that is.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0
