    Morning all,

Its very dark and pouring down here, luckily I was out with Ly1a early and it hadnt started then.I wanted to be back before the big machine started working at the front so she is safely under DS desk at the back of the house now.The hole that has been dug is very big now but not that deep yet-hope the cottages dont slide into it:eek:

Sorry to hear of peoples troubles and sending hugs to Lainey & Mum,TA, LW, Hillstep and BB, new job good vibes to Coxy & CafeKate. My DS is very quiet at the moment,he is freelance but gets most of his work from a company he used to work for but got made redundant from in the last downturn (web and graphic design)

My DGD arrived for tea last night after her 1st day at school.I could tell something was amiss as soon as I saw her but she wouldnt say what. The photos DS sent of her going in show her happy & excited, she hadnt told her Mum,Dad or other Grandma anything either. She was tired and ended up having a tantrum.I ended up going in the car with DS2 to take her back to her Mums as she likes me to make up stories in the car for her 'out of my brain' as she puts it.It came out at bedtime that she hates school, wants to go back to preschool, she misses her friends there and a boy called her fat face! :( One of her friends is starting today so I'm hoping that helps-she's a bright little thing so we don't want anything to put her off.
Having worked in reception for many years I know they all try to find their own place in the order of things.

I'm going this afternoon to my volunteer session in my friends reception class, spoke to her last night to see whether she wanted me or to wait till they'd all started.Pleeease come was the cry :rotfl:Its a 2 form entry so today they will all have started and there will be 60 children in the unit.Busy busy busy :D

I am going to bung some beef in the sc so its easy when I get back, and sort out the washing.Didnt get chance yesterday after it had dried as my old next door neighbour came for the afternoon, not seen her for ages so we put the world to rights.I made some brownies to have with our coffee, had a couple but they are put firmly behind me ,dont want to get into bad habits again :D especially now I've bought smaller jeans etc :rotfl:

Hope you all have a good day xx

Morning all from a very bright and a little
breezy Kent coast. A glorious start to the day.

Just having a coffee after morning cycle ride, then. will go down to meal planning.

Have rejoined a gym for the winter months for when we can't get out so much, it has a lovely pool too. Got induction this afternoon.

Lovely day out yesterday at Bewl Water, picnic lunch and a boat ride the back to ours for BBQ tea and a glass of wine and GBBO.

Hugs to all of us no having such a good time at the moment.

  • Morning all, haven't posted for quite a while because of potential problems with the little grandson due to be in January dominating our lives BUT last night DD2 had the most wonderful and welcome news that other than his cleft palate there is NO other problem, the weight and darkness that has been existence for the past few weeks has gone and we are the happiest Oma and Opa on this wonderful planet. To hear the happiness in DDs voice when she rang to tell us the news was just the best. So, we're winding the garden plots down, continuing to process and eat lots of home grown veg and gather in for the colder weather along with all the jobs and maintenance that is part of this time of the year. Hope all of you are hale and hearty and life is running smoothly for you all, Lyn xxx.

Oh, that's great new MrsLW, I'm so pleased for you and your family.

I've had a busy morning. My watch gave me a turn when I woke up until I realised the battery had stopped. I have a pork shoulder joint in the slow cooker to make pork and broccoli lasagne for the weekend. I also had a hair appt and went to get the aforesaid battery changed. I also found time to clean the bathroom and handwash some bras ready for the holiday. I'd been saving them to wash together and then realised that I'd had to throw away all my older ones. I managed to find one in the back of the drawer but it's a bit uncomfortable.

I might have a quieter afternoon.
  • Mrs LW thats fantastic news you must be walking on air:):):)

I had a shufti at the country park this morning but sadly all the brambles seem to have vanished Ill try up in the woods on Saturday.

Did a small necessity shop today the first since I came home from my holiday and managed to get all I needed for £10,61 so very pleased and I came home and put my food purse away for at least another week :) My food shopping is going right down at the moment as I am trying to work my way through the stuff I have in stock at the moment

Weather is glorious at the moment I am sitting on DD's decking with a nice gentle breeze just keeping me cool, boys will be home just after 3.00 so I am enjoying the peace and quiet with a cuppa :):)

Posivibes and healing for Hilstep, BB and Lainey's Mum

Posivibes and job success wishes for Coxy and Cafekate's respective OH's; I remember well how worrying the situation is.

Mr LW has been to the Fang Farrier this afternoon - just a check up. He's just got back, so will log off and see about Ronnie's walk now.;)

    Afternoon all,

Dry and windy here today, looks as if it might rain later.

Hugs to all in need of one for any reason.

Csarina.....showers are so convenient......I hate having to climb in and out of a bath to have one, had to do that this morning as en suite shower (electric) heated to scalding and wouldnt turn down...fastest shower in history!

Going to boil some windfall apples for jelly while cooking dinner ( hake, broccoli, potatoes, white sauce), its getting harder to get crabs here, these will make an acceptable jelly, will add mint to some for use with lamb.

Will be back on duty with DD4 on Saturday....she cant lift C or M after her C section and her OH is back to work, so will be early mornings for me for a month.....will be good for me no doubt, I love spendingtime with them.

    Have a good day everybody.
