CTC and some days off from work

Hi.
I am receiving CTC currently and earn about 16000.
Hmrevenue calculate 100 pounds every month, so in year makes 1200 pounds.
I just wonder if I had to take some days off from work, (I have to show up on lectures at University) will I receive some money after my annual income declaration because my income will be less that I have assumed.
For example my income will be less, so 14000.
Due less income I supposed to receive 120 pounds each month, 20x12 240 pounds for year.
I know this work with overpayment, if I will take some extra overtime I have to give some money back to HMRevenue.
Does it work the same in my circumstances?
Please help.
P.S. the numbers are not real, it is only hypothetical situation.

It depends how your income various from last year.
If last year was £16,000 and this year £14,000 then it would have no effect on your claim because of the £2500 disregard for income decreases.
However if you are expecting a decrease in income of £2000 that's more than just "some days off" so your WTC claim may be impacted.0 -
Can you not use your holiday allocation to attend the lectures?Be Alert..........Britain needs lerts.0
