Tomtom Go 720 - which phones work with it?

I've recently bought this new sat nav hoping to use it as a hands free as well. It turns out my LG U830 is not compatible for this. There is a list of compatible phones on Tomtom's website but they are mainly old models and they say others may well work that aren't listed.

I'm resigned to changing my mobile but need to keep my 3 contract. I would prefer a Nokia phone.

Does anyone know of any suitable phones which are not on Tomtom's list please?

I had a Nokia N73 working with my TT510 and have just changed it for a Sony k810i. (Both on 3)

Should be similar sort of compatibilities with the TT720.

Thanks for those 2 options. I rather fancy a Nokia 6120 Classic I don't suppose anyone can confirm if this works?

Not sure about the 6120.

I have TomTom on my N70 and it works well (witha GPS receiver).

You'll probably find that most phones will at least work for hands free calling. Some features which might not work are copying contacts to phone (easy to get round by vreating a text file when connected to the PC) and wireless data. You may also miss out on the ability to read and write sms while driving (!?!)

Chances are it will work but it is still a chance...

Strangely I managed to get a data connection with my LG U830 but it keeps telling me that hands free calling is not supported.
