Concentrix...

So as you may or not be aware of the name I am now dealing with Concentrix “on behalf of HMRC” and as like many of you am livid. I received one threatening letter to which I unfortunately threw due to it not asking for anything. This letter has been found by HMRC on the system luckily to confirm it hadn’t asked for nothing nor had a reference number for me to respond to Conctentrix.

I am now living the nightmare that is getting my tax credits back, I rang HMRC on Monday to say I’d stopped my summer job to which they unfortunately couldn’t update because I was under investigation. I proceeded to ask what investigation and then was given the idea that Concentrix think someone lives with me and will no longer be paying. As the women was talking low and behold I checked my account NIL, I think my stomach ate itself. I then asked about my rebate as I recently sent my DRO to show the money they’d been deducting each week was owed to me, the lady said that that too is being looked into but they can pay a rebate but will no longer be paying tax credits. I hang up and am stunned into silence.
Contacting Concentrix as you can imagine are inundated with single parents like myself livid so it cut off, it was engaged and then after 24 hours I got through to be told what I recall as nonsense… They want my years’ worth of bank statements, council tax bill, rent statement and proof of legal custody of my children all original or else kind of jibe. I asked for the hunch they’d gone on from the Freedom of Information act, they said that doesn’t coincide with their company policy and cannot disclose the information. I then asked how I can be entitled to child benefit paid each week but not allowed my child tax credit again as good as air answer. Hanging up I rang HMRC to express complaint to which I won’t be the first or the last and got nowhere again. So I will have to send that in writing.

I DO NOT and WILL NOT be sending any of my original documents to someone who cannot even understand common law of the land, nor someone who stops a child’s home being sacrificed on a hunch. I really don’t’ know how best to resolve this I contacted the Job Centre to ask to be put back on income support but they said there will be a delay as you are under investigation by HMRC and In a nut shell I still get my child benefit. So 35 quid is sufficient enough to survive for 8-12 weeks whilst this gets resolved?

I Googled and gossiped in the village of the previous tenant who’s mail I am still getting and managed to discover his seedy marriages and string of children and a company he has in his name, but he has changed his address to the one he has with his mistress so after only 15 minutes of Google I found that the man doesn’t live here, on top of that the company is at his mistresses and neither of them live their either. He moved out of my address in October 2013, yet Connectix say they’ve been investigating me since 27th September 2015 impossible I moved in on the 9th October.

I honestly would rather send Concentrix his change of address details and company details then any of stuff of mine because this is nothing to do with me at all and the fact I have no reference and they’ve been investigating me since 27th September 2015 without my knowledge screams a warning at me. :eek:

How has anyone got around this and how am I going to survive I cannot go to a food bank because I am not on income support etc plus It won’t be able to put the electric on to cook it. I’m incredibly stressed to be honest. How can they possibly stop someone’s money with no grace period to respond?

I don’t know if I could get legal aid as I feel this will end up chasing my tail if I send them anything plus all it proves is the bills are in my name and I only imagine I’ll be questioned who the people that do give me money in my account from time to time are, and as for my legal document they can sod off. I’d rather take it to court and get my money I am entitled to as my child benefit still goes in therefore I am entitled to child tax award than faff around with a call centre house of card company, plus compensation for it all.
I will contact extra support department, at HMRC tomorrow and look into taking them to court tonight but considering I have nothing in my account I’m bamboozled. I also wanted to ring the police as its fraud the man has several aliases and several families dotted around and leaves a devastating trail.

Can anyone give a story of hope at all?

Contact your MP. That is the best thing you can do.

The letter you mention was a generic letter sent to all single claimants.

But if Concentrix have stopped payments, they should have written to you directly and asked for information - only if you don't respond or they decide you are part of a couple after you have responded should your payments stop. Did Concentrix say anything regarding a letter they sent to you?

They also should write to you when they stop your payments to tell you why and you should get an award notice that you can then lodge an appeal against.

Concentrix can give you information about the suspected third party - they can tell you who they think it is.

In terms of where they get their info - they only use credit reference agency data and HMRC systems so that is likely where it has come from.

MP is the best route to go down because they have clearly not followed any of the procedures in notifying you what is going on.
