Chrome bottle trap for wall basin

I want to have a basin fitted to a brick wall (so not a cavity wall, and no pedestal).

I'll need a chrome bottle trap.

Since the water pipes going up to the basin will be exposed (no cavity wall) they'll also be chrome.

When I type bottle trap into eBay I noticed that they all appear to be manufactured so that the waste water pipe goes into the wall; such as below.

Since there doesn't appear to be any alternative to this, do I simply purchase something in this style and use the bottle trap section (which always seems to be detachable), dispose of the short horizontal pipe, and attach chrome pipework from the detached bottle trap down to under the floorboards?

If so, then I imagine that I'd need some form of chrome L-shaped joint to connect the vertical chrome pipework to the bottle trap. What is the name of this part so I can search for it?

Thanks!

Do you mean cut tracks into the brickwork for the pipework, insert all the pipework in there and plaster over?

(It's a load bearing wall though).

Just get {at the inflated price} link below then cut the straight pipe and connect it between the bottle trap and a fresh length of chrome piping.Or just do what andyhop said and save a fortune

Depends on pipe size but very unlikely, to be able to chase? Chase depths should not exceed Vertical 1/3 brick thickness or horizontal not deeper than 1/6
(less with hollow block) so would not advise chasing into wall ? You would also need to add 5-10 mm for finished surface e.g. plaster render etc
