Barclays Additions Refund Refused

Hi,
Long story short, I have had Additions since 2010. In that time I have used the breakdown cover once and registered various phones under the insurance.
I recently dropped my iPad and had it repaired via Lifestyle Services Group. They have repaired the iPad with a counterfeit screen, the smart lock no longer works and the broken case I sent in hasn't been repaired.
I complained to Barclays about the poor quality repair and demanded all of my fees back as I only took out the account for the mobile insurance but based on my experience with my iPad I would not trust them with my iPhone.
The refused my complaint because I had used the breakdown cover and registered 2 phones. I have since appealed this decision stating again that the only reason I took it out was for mobile phone insurance but this is not suitable.

Is it worth me waiting for their generic answer or just go straight to FOS? or shall I not bother if you don't think my case is strong enough.

Either way I will not be a Barclays customer for much longer!

TIA

They have no reason to refund all your premiums and I doubt the FOS would agree to that either as you have had financial gain from the product.

You can complain about the claim and how that is handled and the FOS can rule on whether the claim was handled fairly or not. If not, they would tell the insurer to deal with it fairly. They would not tell them to refund the premiums.
