GHD straighteners

HI can anyone advise?

I bid £75.00 on a Buy it now for a pair of these on Wed eve, the seller had 7 for sale. I wasnt entirely happy as she had only 17 feedback so I paid via paypal with my credit card. I was horrified to find on Thurs that she was no longer a registered seller. How stupid had I been?

Today I got her details, email address returned undeliverable, mobile number not in service, Bt line constntly engaged. However I have just received an email to say that Ebay suspended her account until she could prove she had the goods and that I will receive the straighteners in 14 days. Am I just being naiive to believe this, or should I make efforts to track her down before the fortnight is up?

Does she have any recent negs?

There may still be a chance that you'll get your item - but if there's any hint that she's been kicked off ebay because she's been selling fake GHDs (for example) this will affect the way you proceed. I have no idea how much GHDs cost - if the ones you bought were a serious bargain, you might want to think about whether they're going to be the real deal.

Don't beat yourself up - paying with credit card funded paypal was the best thing you could have done and you have excellent chances of getting a good resolution.

Thanks for your reply, she doesnt have any negs although most of her feedback is 6 months old. Ghd,s can be bought for between £80 and £100, however I live in rural Scotland and its a long trip to town and back, so they were slightly cheaper but not excessively so, about what I would expect for Ebay, I was trying to be clever and save myself the effort on a Saturday.

I guess I will need to wait and see if they arrive, however I do now have the email addresses of all the other people who bought them from her, so if they dont arrive I could contact them to see what we might do collectively.
