Club Lloyds cinema tickets

Just wondering - are the tickets only 'active' if the account that produced them is still running?
In other words, if you open an account, get the cinema tickets & then close the account, is it still possible to use the tickets or would they no longer work since the account would be closed?

I suspect once issued that is it, have you looked at T&Cs?

Is it not worth keeping the account open? With the price of cinema tickets in the Vue near me thats a £50 a year benefit. It was nice to take the family out for a free day at the cinema last week.
Not to mention the 4% interest at present.0 -

Short sighted springs to mind. However the OP has inside knowledge that the rate is dropping to 3%!!!!!
I have held this account for about 3 years now and I make it work for me. I keep the full £5k in the account and never pay the £5 fee a month plus enjoy the free cinema tickets. Also the interest on the £5k.0 -

The actual tickets roughly state: Valid until the expiration date given (on the tickets).
The Livestyle Benefit page states: Valid for 12 months.
The agent on the on-line, free, almost immediately response, CHAT facility there said: No, when the Club a/c is closed any unused tickets are cancelled immediately.Seen it all, done it all, can't remember most of it.0 -

There's a 'valid till' date printed on each ticket. If you don't use them, you'll get around £40 for 6 on Ebay0 -
Thanks Seven.
I like how some were jumping the gun & thinking I was about to close an account just after opening.
Well that's what happens when you go assuming isn't it0 -

Lloyds have been doing CineWorld tickets for a while now, Vue were of no use to us where I live. We've go 2 A/Cs & got 12 tickets in April - only 2 left.
Note your Reward start date, you can only switch to a different reward on the annual 'anniversary'.
I was advised that if you're 'caught' selling or transferring your tickets (breaking the T&C's), you'll be looking for a new bank A/C. They do check, but didn't enlighten me how!Seen it all, done it all, can't remember most of it.0 -
anyone any real world experience of:
can these vouchers (cineworld) be used on BOGOF days? ie, 1 voucher = 2 tickets?
thanks.0 -

If you like free cinema tickets I would recommend taking out a vitality health insurance policy. You get
A free cinema ticket every week for Vue or cineworld (you can choose which each week)
Half price Virgin active membership
One free drink at Starbucks a week
3 half price Eurostar tickets a year
40% of 3 BA flights in Europe a year
15% non smoker cash back
My freebies save me more than the health policy costs – which is a bonus!0
