  • Will it effect the student loan?

other than that i see no problem
  • The only way it would effect your student loan is if you and your boyfriend got married, in which case his income will be taken into consideration. If he's just your boyfriend then no problems. The SLC has no access to your bank statements and will not know a thing about it
My mortgage costs me a sobering £13.06 A DAY!

Hahahahaah... Mmm yes I think that's exactly what they've both got planned, don't you?

The way it's been put certainly makes it sound like the a verb, if she's reluctant to use it as a noun............

???? If I was to ever remarry (not that I've been put off for life or anything...) then yes, I would tell the Student Loans Company. People that don't declare things tend to get found out.... and I am not planning on living looking over my shoulder - it would not be worth the risk as that would mean the job that I plan on doing would be out the window if I was caught doing something like that. And, bizarrely, I am actually a very honest person.

So no, it would not AFFECT my student loan at the moment, as any cash is simply a gift, which I can use to pay towards food shopping, household bills, etc, or simply to splurge on handbags & shoes!! However, if we were to marry then of course it would have an EFFECT on the loan, as I would be declaring a considerable amount of extra income into the household, and would most likely then not be claiming a loan.....

However, what I can gather from other posts is that it wouldn't be a major problem if I chose to put some of this money (IF I was given any) into my bank account.... For the past couple of months I have used it, but it would be nice to have it put aside for emergencies. And it's not something that I rely on - relationships don't always last..... And I don't intend to remarry for the sake of it! I mean, if you'd been going out with someone for a few months & they suddenly hassled you to get married in this situation, wouldn't you think you were being seen as a lifetime meal ticket...??? Which is NOT what I want thankyou!
