VPN rebilling- do I have any rights for a refund?

Hello all.

I subscribed to a VPN service whilst I was in the UAE. I returned home and I thought I cancelled it online but I got recharged. I asked the company to cancel the service and refund me; they have cancelled the subscription but have not refunded me. Do I have any rights? I no longer use this service and I have told them about this. Even though I made a mistake, surely I have a right to cancel a service i no longer want to use and get refunded for it?

I would appreciate any advice you have. Thanks!

You have the right to cancel a service but you don't have the right to a refund if you failed to cancel it in time.

Also, VPN's have become very legally dubious in UAE now - simply using one may get you in deep trouble! And if you're familiar with the region, you'll know how deep deep trouble can be!

There's no automatic right for refund of unused contract periods, so it will all come down to the actual individual contract you agreed.
