White ceramic sink

I'm thinking of having a white ceramic sink when I get the kitchen done, just wondering if they are a nightmare to keep clean. Look so lovely in the showroom compared to the stainless steel but worried it won't stay lovely for long. Anyone have one?

I've had mine since January and it's fine. I put hot water with bleach in once a week and leave it to soak so it doesn't get discoloured around the plug.0

I have one, it was a bargain in B&Q and I think I got a further 10% off as they said it was impefect which we struggled to see.
I like it and much easier to clean and look good than stainless steel but watch you don't drop plates in it or use a basin! I got a white tap but the colour/paint is coming off it a bit and might need to replace soon. Its not that we have more patience as we grow older, its just that we're too tired to care about all the pointless drama

We've had one for several years - it fits our kitchen design much better than a steel one would.
However, as above, be very careful not to chip it with something heavy like a saucepan. We use a rubber mat in ours to help protect it. It has a few small chips, but nothing to warrant replacing it - yet!
Cleaning it overnight with bleach and water when necessary keeps it looking nice.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the In My Home MoneySaving, Energy and Techie Stuff boards. Why can't a basin be used?I have one, it was a bargain in B&Q and I think I got a further 10% off as they said it was impefect which we struggled to see.

I think Vicky123 is saying to use a basin (washing up bowl) so you don't chip it.0

Yes, that's what I mean, to wash up in between dishwasher.bellaboo86 wrote: »I think Vicky123 is saying to use a basin (washing up bowl) so you don't chip it.0 -

We've had ours for 7 years now and its stayed nice and white, it was relatively cheap from Homebase too. Like other have mentioned though they're not very forgiving if a plate or glass slips from your hands when washing up! I've not chipped the sink but smashed a fair few things on it... I use a plastic washing up bowl to help minimise this!0

I love mine, had it a few years and it still comes up like new.0
