Faulty laptop

I bought a laptop 6 days ago and it now has a faulty screen, we bought it in Argos, so took it back, this afternoon, the man looked at the laptop and was going to replace it until a lady came over and said no it would have to be sent away to be fixed,my daughter took it back, I'm sure they should have replaced it not very happy

    Im quite sure they should have replaced it.


    However im not certain and you would be best posting in the consumer advice forum as im not sure that technical advice is what you need here ..

    If purchased six days ago and faulty, it should be refund or replacement, not repair. Unless damage is caused by neglect.

    Get a full refund within 30 days

    [FONT=&quot]This is a nice new addition to our statutory rights. The Consumer Rights Act 2015 changed our right to reject something faulty, and be entitled to a full refund in most cases, from a reasonable time to a fixed period (in most cases) of 30 days. After that, you lose the short-term right to reject the goods and you'll have fewer rights, such as only being able to ask for a repair or replacement, or a full or partial refund if this doesn’t work.[/FONT]
