Paying Default

Hi,
I am 3 years into a defaulted payment (only knew about this when I applied for a mortgage.)
If I pay this does the 6 year cycle start over as that is what the EE website is telling me.
I found out about this and immedietly paid it ( even though I dispute the charge after requesting the contract be cancelled numerous times after my final bill.) Now I am worried the 6 years will reset.
" When you pay your account after a default your credit file will show as ‘satisfied’. Once ‘satisfied’ the default will stay on your credit file for 6 years and cannot be removed by us as you have defaulted your account."

It's 6 years from the date of original default, so if you've done 3 years your half way through.
It's removed paid or not paid, a satisfied default looks slightly on your credit file than not paid.0 -
A4445 is right, it’s 6 years from the original default date. The quote from the EE website is incorrect.
