I.T Job offer, low paid?

The pertinent questions, I would say, are how many other people are in IT in this organisation?
If there are plenty of others, particularly at a higher level, I'd say the job looks OK, and will most likely increase your experience in a useful way.
If you're going to be the *only* IT person, or maybe there's just one other who won't take much interest in what you're doing, then you could find it something of a poisoned chalice, as you may find you're having to look after a lot more than the cloud, with no support and getting all the blame if it goes wrong.0 -
I was formerly a trainer, I switched to IT to get away from the constant travel and also reduce a bit of responsibility. My first IT job 4 years ago was 18k, I was made redundant and got another Tech Support role at 16.5k, bear in mind this is with only about 6 months experience. I was lucky to land another Tech Support role that was 25k, after doing that for 2 years I managed to jump to 3rd line support and now earn 40k. It just takes time, bit of self training and a hint of right place and right time. The foot in the door is the most important.0

22k is really not that bad depending on where you are, I am an "IT assistant" on 17k a year (2nd IT Support role around 4 years experience). regularly look after the whole organisation for 1-2 weeks just as well as the IT manager who is on 28k a year. also carry out jobs ranging from Cabling new sockets to setting up new DC servers. Having said this I feel my pay is too low, anything over 20k is okay for a 1st line competent tech support with experience is good I think.0
