A good phone case

Options
Hi

I just recently purchased samsung galaxy s6 edge.
Could anyone recommend a really good case, which is anti shock for when it's dropped and maybe also something to put on a screen which will protect it from any unexpected damage.

Many thanks

Tatiana

have never had a case on any phone and have only ever dropped a phone once in 25 years and didn't break screen. don't bother with case or insurance. total waste of money.

^^ im with you on that one ..

However i do seem to have a lot of hapless friends who seem to drop their prized £600 device on a daily basis. And around 50% of the iphones i ever see seem to have cracked screens, so i do see the merit in getting a case if you are one of those guys !!
  • I always buy Spigen cases, all my phones have survived lol, recommended

I've dropped my phone at least once a month, sometimes from as high as 12 feet. Always survived thanks to a case - would have been smashed to bits otherwise.

Phone insurance is a scam (they always find an excuse not to pay up) but a case is just a sensible precaution for most people.

I'd second Spigen, they've done a great job on my son's iPhone.

Well I've only dropped my phone once, it was last year on holiday, my iPhone 6 fell 20 foot onto a marble floor and survived, the £30 case was money well spent given the cost of repair and as a bonus, after nearly 2 years the phone is still in immaculate condition which will help when I sell it in December when I get a new phone.
I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world

I can recommend T21 as a good brand for cases. I've had a few different phones and ipods over the years and the brand make excellent easy to use cases (if you can get a snap-on or two piece case they work even better with screen protectors). The phones I've had have been dropped onto ever surface and in at least one experiment had even been thrown across a 6m room onto hard wood floor to prove the screen would not crack (it didn't).

Just to prove my phones were not all bullet proof, I then went on to need a battery pack for the S2 which had before then had a T21 cover. As the replacement battery meant the phone was bulkier I could no longer use the T21 case. I was one day sitting down, waiting for a bus. I dropped the phone, caseless all of about 2.5 feet and the screen smashed. Just like that. I'd previously dropped it from ear height with it's case, whilst walking and had no cracks at all.

I think I paid about £10 or so for the case in the sale. I know they cost more though for newer phones but they are well worth the money IME.
