hello,
I have recently been fined for not parking in a bay, the car park is tiny with a few marked bays then what I thought would be other spaces as the land then gets slightly bigger and is all part of the same area. its with a company called millennium parking group who are a private firm,
what are my grounds with this fine?
thanks

This is not a real fine.
Same as all the other IPC private firms, challenge once then ignore them and their debt collector letters. Do not ignore a solicitor's letter or a court claim, of course, or a later letter from 'MIL' (not to be confused with Millennium - they are NOT the same).
Search this forum sub-board for the keywords 'MIL Millennium' to see what can occur letter on and how to defend it if you get a (very defendable) MIL claim. This is not one to pay. Millennium Door & Event Security do not try court but they do artificially 'sell on' some unpaid parking 'tickets' to a firm called MIL who you need to know about:

For now, read 'NEWBIES PLEASE READ THESE FAQS FIRST' as you seem to have missed the advice threads at the top of the forum. You can send the 'IPC firms' example of an appeal (but they will not cancel) or just ignore them until you get something from MIL or a solicitor/court, which would need a robust response. Not as scary as it sounds - NOT something to pay - read all the useless cases MIL have tried, by searching Google for 'Parking Prankster MIL'.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
