PTC Parking Direct uk LTD/blue badges enforcement

Our housing association have employed Parking Direct governing our private parking area. The problem is that they are insisting that we place our disabled blue badges on the dash all the time we're parked in our bays. This is a bay that we residents pay for along with our rent.
We also get issued with a parking permit. But Parking direct want us to display our Blue badge as well as the badge.
When the local thieths become aware that there is Bleu badges on permanent display, our windows will start to get broken.
By law Parking direct nor our housing association A2Dominion cannot force us to display our badge, but if we dont we then run the risk of becoming enthralled with Parking Direct.

Can Our Housing and Parking direct force us to display our badges?

Blue Badges have absolutely no meaning on private property - Its the Equality Act that applies here and covers all applicable drivers, regardless of their having a badge or not.

It is highly unlikely that your HA could make and support such a condition in the face of the equality act and would be running the risk of prosecution, a very substantial fine and unlimited compensation to those affected for doing so.

What exactly does your lease say about spaces? If a specific space (as opposed to general parking) is mentioned in the lease, then your right to "Quiet Enjoyment" applies there too and you would be perfectly entitled to tell the HA to take a hike and refuse Parking Direct access to your space for their tickets.

it is also an infringement of your rights under the EA2010 because they have to make "reasonable adjustments" due to your condition and not impose unnecessary rules that restrict your rights

namely, let us suppose your vehicle is parked in your bay, you are too ill to drive for some reason and you need to be taken to hospital or the dentist by a relative or carer

this helper would need you to bring your BB with you in order to take advantage of the disabled spaces or yellow lines or parking bays at your destination

you cannot have two BB , so you would be unable to leave it on your dashboard at home , AND have it with you at your destination

it cannot be in 2 places at once , and it is up to the BB holder where they display it and why

the same would apply if a carer or helper or relative or friend took you shopping in their vehicle , you need it with you to protect that vehicle at the destination , so again , the same dilemma applies

its an infringement of your rights, so complain to your HA , MA and MP about it

maybe write an LBC due to this unnecessary and possibly unlawful infringment of your legal rights

we run the risk of becoming enthralled with Parking Direct.

No-one here has ever been enthralled by Park Direct, I'm certain!
