I applied for the First Direct Account last night. As far as I can see from other posters and the T&Cs, the savings account (not the regular saver) eliminates the need to fund the account each month, bar the initial £1000 to claim the switching incentive.0

Yeah when i read the conditions the regular saver was not in the list of accounts related to disabling the £10 fee.
The account name that popped up was just called "Savings Account". So i guess thats the one. Open it up and stick a small sum into that. Use it to drip feed the regular saver?
Does the money they transfer from the old account count towards the £1000?

They phoned today to clarify a few questions, I ticked a box saying i would be making regular payments into the account and they want to know if this was cash or from a bank transfer etc.
And they confirmed the money transferred with the account counts towards the £1000 also.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
