HSBC Credit Cards are not Contactless but their Debt Cards are ?

Options
Hi,
I noticed that my HSBC Credit Card is not Contactless but my HSBC Debit card is. Do HSBC not do contactless Credit Cards, its certainly not a big issue not having it contactless, although I will lose out on points when using it on the tube.

Does anyone have a HSBC Credit Card that is contactless ?, or are they one of the banks that just don't do them.

Thanks.

I have hsbc credit card and it is not contactless, but I am a bit confused on what you mean by 'points' ?, as I dont get points on my card with them and I was unaware they even did a points card ?.

HSBC supports Android Pay and Apple Pay for its credit and debit cards. You could associate your credit card with one of these apps on your phone and then use your phone at the gates on the tube to collect whatever points you are collecting.
  • My HSBC credit card is contactless, only ever used it for balance transfer though.

Which card is that? None of the personal credit cards shown on HSBC's website display the contactless logo, and the only mention of contactless credit cards in any of the blurb refers to business credit cards.

First Direct, which is part of HSBC, don't provide contactless credit cards, only debit cards.

Must be for security reasons, as the stakes are higher in a 'Credit Card'

Seems to be an HSBC group thing - none of their credit cards have the contactless functionality on the card itself.
