TDS update

Hi Folks,
I am Amjad, based in India(Indian citizen).
I was in London, returned this July end only.
I have an ongoing tenancy deposit refund issue, which is already raised in TDS.
My LL is not ready to consider TDS or ADR.
Whether he is moving to court or not I am not sure.
Please suggest what's the option left for me now , considering I am in India taking up this issue in UK court is next to impossible for me.

Please suggest what should I do next.

Did you not ask this before? And did we not tell you that it was up to you to start the court action?

Your ex landlord is sweating on you not taking court action. He thinks he can get away with it because you are abroad.

Since it is sure that I have to go to court, that's why started this new thread.Last time I have below response from you

The only way you can do this from India is by granting someone POA (Power Of Attorney) to act on your behalf in the UK.

what's the process of granting POA to someone in UK and what would be appox cost of filing a case in court.
  • I think you should look at hiring a solicitor.
  • How much is your deposit, and how much is your landlord trying to keep?

    See the earlier thread.

I can't be bothered to go back and forth to find all the earlier relevant info, hence not responding further.

Appoint a solicitor in the uk. Write a letter before action and tell the LL that you will take him/her to court for the return of the deposit and give details of the solicitor who will act for you.

There's a good chance the LL will cave in once he/she knows you are serious.

    Stop faffing about.

Deposit was £1160, LL deducting £750, so £410 due to be returned according to LL.
If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales
