Ppi from closed bank accounts

Hello - I had bank accounts and credit cards and loans with a well known high street bank for at least 25 years. Due to their terrible service I closed my accounts a number of years ago but have not kept any of the bank account information.
I have been claiming PPI and also have used a company to do this successfully except with this one bank who are being particularly awkward who say they can find no record of me ever having any accounts with them.
QUESTION - Is it possible that they will delete and not retain any record of my ever having an account and how can I insist that they find my account information and PPI. Many thanks in advance

You can't "insist" that they somehow find records which have been deleted.Chubchub10 wrote: »how can I insist that they find my account information and PPI.
Surely your Claims Management Company will have already explained all this to you?0 -

Yes. They only have to keep information for as long as necessary, and 25 years ago is much longer than necessary.
You're only option is to send a SAR and £10 to see what info is left. They can't magic paperwork out of the air though, and no one can 'force' them to find something which no longer exists.

In exactly the same way that they can insist that you provide them with your account and PPI records.Chubchub10 wrote: »how can I insist that they find my account information and PPI.
Actually, that is not quite true. You are the one who asserts that you were missold PPI so it is you that must provide the evidence to prove that assertion, not the bank that most disprove it.0
