Joe Wicks 90 day plan

Hello,
I recently purchased a 90 shift, shape and sustain plan online for £49.99 per 3 months.
With this you get a menu with over 100 tasty recipes
An exercise plan each month
Online support
I purchased it on a monday and received the 'plan'
What this plan actually was was a lift of awful recipes (nothing like the one's he has on his tv programme or shares online) with next to nothing on the plate and the 'exercise plan' is actually just a list of exercises you can do.
I emailed my online 'hero' to say that there wasn't anything i could really eat for breakfast on the options and that with one dish i didn't mind i didn't like cottage cheese or greek yogurt and was there anything else i could eat instead.. the reply was not, trying eating some berries with it... what with salmon??
I've literally had the plan 2 days and have no intention of trying it or using the 'help' provided.. thing is am i entitled to a refund????
Really for £50 i expected a lot more.

In fairness to the company their Ts and Cs are not hiding anything:"1.6 REFUNDS
Since The Body Coach Online Nutrition Ltd is offering non-tangible irrevocable goods we do not issue refunds once the order is accomplished and the product is sent.
As a customer you are responsible for understanding this when purchasing any product from our site and in the unlikely event of the meals not being to your liking, taste or falling in line with personal circumstances, be that lifestyle or financial, this would not warrant a refund.
However, we realise that exceptional circumstances can take place with regards to both the character of the product we supply and your personal life.
Therefore, we may honour requests for a refund for the following reasons:
- Product not-as-described and as detailed above in our terms and conditions: such issues should be reported within 3 days from the date the product is received. Clear evidence must be provided proving that the purchased product is not as it is described either on the website and or in our terms and conditions. Complaints which are based merely on the customer's false expectations or wishes are not honoured.
-In the event of serious debilitating illness or injury. Confirmation of this in the form of a doctor's note or medical certificate will need to be provided before consideration."
So yes, the 3 days rule may not apply, because it is slightly unfair, but I would get your evidence and present it to them.
I personally think that your product is as described.
But the website also says:You will get over 100 tasty, easy-to-prepare recipes that will get you lean. These include delicious meals such as banana protein pancakes, build-up bagels, curries, burgers, wraps, casseroles, and many more - because a happy meal plan is a sustainable meal plan.
So does that all check out in your meal book thing? If you can tick off those examples in some form then you haven't really been misled
Likely buyers remorse.
PS, you just spent £150 on something which you can get for free onlineDiets and exercise are all about willpower. Not giving £150 to some pretty face for information you could get for free on the internet.

If you want to get fit you put on a pair of trainers and exercise, you don't spend £50 on an "exercise plan".
You got what you wanted, you burnt £50 on an altar as penance for your sins, if you still feel bad that's not the priest's problem.0 -
I only spent the money as i wanted to learn about nutrition. for your information i do have a pair of trainers and do exercise so please keep your comments to yourself.
Thank you for your reply Daytona.. the only thing included in the example was the bagel..
I have look online for 'freebies' for years, tried and tested many things but all i've done is gain weight rather than lostI was hoping to learn about eating the correct foods etc... as a lot of articles say different to others.

Joe Wicks has an annoying squeaky voice, bit like Beckham but on helium0

Ive heard similar complains about Joe Wicks. If you speak to nutritionals and also PT's they don't rate any of his methods0

Where are the company based? Doesn't necessarily look like they comply with consumer contract regulations - cant think of any exemption that would cover them so that might be worth looking into as you'll possibly be able to cancel free of charge.
ETA: If you're looking to lose weight then in my experience, you're best sticking to a healthy varied diet (including the "bad" food) rather than any of these fad diets (which have been proven to make you gain weight in the long term). If you're actually overweight/not got a healthy diet (or cant stick to one), try and figure out what your problem areas are. For instance are you eating quick & easy meals because you cant be bothered cooking? Or are your portion sizes perhaps a little too big? (this is especially a problem if you're not eating often enough - you can eat less than your RDA and put on weight if you're eating 1/2 meals a day but they're big ones). People gain weight for all sorts of reasons, what works for someone else might not work for you because you're not gaining weight for the same reason.
Cardio is the best exercise for losing weight. Your local gym will probably have trainers who can do workout plans for you (and much more reasonably priced too - my own gym do them for around £8). And vary your routine or you'll plateau.
Perhaps also try foods with a lower GI index too. Like I said, its really about trying to find out whats right for you. Good luck! You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
I've had a some of the meals from one of his books and am a bit dubious about how healthy they are. For example there is one dish that is chicken, chorizo, mozerella and nuts (there is also onion and spinach). Chorizo and mozerella have a lot of fat in them which is why they taste so good. Nuts are also high in fats.
I also think some of the portions are huge. My OH made the burgers and i asked him at least 5 times if he had read the recipe correctly because they were huge.
On the postitive side, you do have to cook from scratch so it is fresh ingredients. Also the meals are very simple and tasty.0 -

No one food group is really bad. Its only when the balance between food groups isn't right that you get an unhealthy diet.
Fatty foods can provide much needed protein, acids & vitamins.
Of course if you're eating it every night then its possibly going to become a problem :rotfl:You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0
